About

It started a couple of years ago, taking an Old Testament Survey class at Global University. I had to do a project, relating what I was studying to something interacting with people, even if it was electronically. So I started blogging about Jonah and what it must have felt like to be whale barf. (Okay, so it wasn’t a whale, it was a really big fish, but really big fish barf doesn’t sound as good). But then, as things tend to do, life happened and I never finished the class. The blog lay dormant.

Now, a couple years later, I’m back in school, taking Bible classes again, and needing to do a project again. I enjoyed blogging before, and often wished I had stuck with it. Then, as I was thinking about it, pieces started falling into place as I realized how I could turn this class project into a project for all my classes, and move me into the future as well. So this is it, my new Service Learning Requirement project to take me “To infinity and beyond!!” (Sorry, just got done watching Toy Story again).

So that WAS the plan for this blog, to interact with you, my readers, and relate what I’m learning in my classes to my life, your lives, and what we see and hear all around us in the world. And while I still look forward to positive feedback from you, and hope that a dialog will develop about God, His One and Only Son Jesus, and Holy Spirit and how the three in One GOD of the Universe has affected my life and can do wonderful things for you as well. As I grow and change, so does the blog (but God NEVER changes. He’s the same, yesterday, today, and forever.) It’s not ALL about Jesus. It’s about life, and the struggles of life, doing life together, and doing life alone, as a single working woman with a dog. It’s about trials and tribulations, real or imagined. It’s about the thrill, chills, and joy of being alive in this day and age. It’s real, it’s gritty, it’s lofty, it’s gooey. It’s non-fiction, fiction, poetry?, photography, and whatever else I decide to throw in there along the way.

Please, come join me as we do life together, in person or in cyber-space. It looks to be a great ride!

Blessings!

  1. This is a great start to share the Love of Jesus Christ our Lord. With all the junk and responsibilities that come with being a member of society. It is far too easy to get confused, distracted, and unattached to the Truth that relationship with our LORD is most important. However, I also believe that this relationship cannot exsist without Love. Love of God lyes in the Truth of having love toward others that are around us no matter what. See I believe it’s easy to Love a God who always Loves us. In all truth, that to me sounds like we are loving a our Lord out of false doctrine. For the biggest struggle is to Love others me than ourselves. Than our relationship and Love for God will grow.

This Love of people above myself I strive to have. However it’s only a false show if I cannot have this love abound in me. Is that not God’s Love that loves all of us who betray him daily? If yes than the true struggle to have a closer, more intimate relationship with God is to have God’s love. Even to those who don’t love us.

I need the Holy Spirit for this kind of love. It’s definitely not natural but spiritual.
